Fitting questions
How do I size a counterbore for an insert?
Imperial valve seat inserts come with pre-set cutters that machine a nominal-size counterbore, with the interference fit already built into the insert. Metric inserts are sized as listed, so the counterbore must be the insert size minus the interference fit.
Are the inserts suitable for unleaded fuel?
All valve seat inserts we supply are suitable for unleaded fuel. LPG and heavy duty versions are also available.
Can you make parts to my specification?
Yes. Small batches and production runs of valve guides or valve seat inserts can be made to a customer specification.
Delivery
How quickly do orders go out?
Stocked orders are usually dispatched the same working day or the next, Monday to Friday, depending on when the order is placed.
How are orders sent?
By courier. Urgent items that need tracking also go by courier. For guaranteed quick delivery, call the sales team.
Do you deliver abroad?
Delivery on the webstore is within the UK. For export, request a shipping quote.
Returns
Orders can be cancelled and returned within 14 days of receipt, except special order items. Contact Serdi UK for a returns number before sending anything back, and include that number in the package.
You pay for return shipping. Items must be unused and in a condition suitable for resale. Used items, and items damaged during fitting or return transit, are not refunded.
Refunds go back to the original payment method. They are usually processed within one to two days of receipt, but can take up to seven working days in busy periods.
